The first bingo hall and casinos

The record starts with bingo. The owners started Good Time Bingo in Prince George in 1985. A year later, in 1986, they opened Wagers Casino. Both opened years before the casino on Highway 97 South, which opened in 2004.

Casino Hollywood followed in April 1998. It was the third venue in the sequence, after the bingo hall and Wagers Casino. This record holds only their opening dates, not their locations or sizes. No other dated facts for these three venues appear on the Field Sheet.

The building on Highway 97 South

The casino on Highway 97 South opened on September 16, 2004. Its address is 2003 Highway 97 South, Prince George, BC V2N 7A3. That puts it at the intersection of Highway 97 S and Highway 16, the crossing the 16/97 field desk is named after.

In 2010 the bingo hall expanded, when Chances Good Time Prince George moved in. The attached hotel describes the casino as 37,000 square feet of gaming space. How many tables share that space is not published. The figure is the hotel's description, not a measurement by the field desk.

The closure and the record year

The casino closed in mid-March 2020 for the pandemic and stayed shut until July 1, 2021, when it reopened. In 2022-23 the casino took in a record $62.37 million in revenue. The figure is revenue, not profit, and it covers 2022-23 only. No visitor counts or table counts come with it. The hours and rules elsewhere on the Field Sheet date from October 13, 2026.

What the city receives

As host city, Prince George receives BCLC host payments. The total paid to the city so far is $62.04 million. Of that, $2.49 million came in 2025/26.

The casino runs under BCLC policies, procedures and standards. Since April 13, 2026, gambling in British Columbia has been regulated by the Independent Gambling Control Office, the IGCO. That office replaced GPEB, the previous regulator. How the city spends its payments is not covered on the Field Sheet.
